Ride Requester’s Declaration and Confirmation

I hereby declare that I am aware that the person providing this ride is a private driver, and not a public transportation company or a regulated taxi service.

I understand that any amount of money I transfer to the driver is solely a contribution toward fuel and maintenance expenses, as well as a personal tip for the service, and not payment for a commercial service.

The driver is not acting on behalf of the website or its operators, but is responding to my request independently, and is solely responsible for complying with all legal and licensing requirements of the State of Israel.

I confirm that the responsibility to ensure the driver is qualified and licensed to carry passengers rests with me, and I do not hold the site or its operators liable for any damage or distress that may result from the ride.

This ride is not a public paid service according to the law, but a private arrangement between two consenting adults.

6. The ride is in accordance with the law: Shared Transportation Regulations (No. 5), 5778-2017:

84B. A ride for hire or other consideration in a private passenger vehicle shall be deemed a shared ride if all of the following conditions are met:

1. The fee or value of other consideration for the ride paid to the driver is paid or given, as applicable, only by each of the passengers in the ride, and does not exceed each passenger’s proportional share of the direct expenses of the ride;
2. The driver does not carry out more than two such rides under this regulation in a single day;
3. No more than two such rides are carried out in the private passenger vehicle in a single day as specified under this regulation;
4. The number of passengers in the ride does not exceed four, excluding the driver;
5. The passengers are riding as a result of pre-arrangement with the driver; for the purpose of this section, “pre-arrangement” includes arrangement via a computer application;

For the purpose of this regulation:

"Direct expenses" – A maximum amount of 2 New Shekels per kilometer of travel;

"Proportional share" – The direct expenses divided equally among all passengers in the vehicle for that ride, including the driver.
